So apparently I have Rheumatoid Arthritis.  I'm just pleased to have a diagnosis and a treatment plan.  The no fat diet (low inflammatory) is kinda hard to get used to but it dovetails nicely with my "get fit" regime. I'm almost pain free for the first time in a year and I can't wait to get to my studio and start sending out resumes.  So expect some newness within the next three months.  It will take me that long at least that long to get to a pain free state and to get to my studio, which is currently many states away from my current location.

...thank goodness.  While this year has had its good moments I am glad for the years passing.  The best thing that has come from this year is the people I have met.  I have met so many people in Savannah that humble and inspire me and I have made contacts that I feel will last a long long time.   The bad things from this year seem innumerable, including illness, death, break ups, and a feeling of being in limbo...my hands are no better, but we have ruled out carpel tunnel, lupus, rhumitory arthritis, and a thyroid problem as the cause of my hurts. Regardless I intend to sail into this new year and take advantage of all the opportunities I c

In an effort to be more of a presence on deviant art, and to stop lurking about peoples brilliant pages and start participating I have decided to start updating again, to start commenting more on peoples art, and to try and use this as a platform for commissions and a general sharing of art. and exploring other art forms as well.   I'm having to find new ways to create because I have developed carpel tunnel AND tendinitis in both hands and arms.  It makes even the simplest for of metal smithing difficult and painful.  I am resting my arms as much as possible and wearing braces all of the time, but I miss working with metal terribly. So perh

Sorry to hear you have arthritis,...me too.
I HIGHLY recommend mineral bath salts. It takes a few times of using the stuff before you feel the effects because it's cumulative. It works so well at minimizing the aches and pains now I never take a bath without it.
Thank you! I'll be sure to join the club.
I'm actually glad it's arthritis. It took almost a year to diagnose and some of the potential diagnosis were a lot scarier so I consider myself lucky.
When I have a bathtub I'll be sure to take some long soaks with mineral salts.
